What to Eat at MetLife Stadium for the World Cup Final β Food, Drink, and Prices Inside
Food Inside MetLife
MetLife Stadium has concessions on all levels. For the World Cup Final, expect extended hours and full concession operation across all sections. Standard prices at MetLife events run approximately: beer $15β$18, hot dog $8β$10, nachos $12β$14, water $5β$6, soft drink $6β$8. Premium club-level sections have expanded menus with sit-down options at higher price points.
The Strategy: Eat Before You Go
Stadium food at these prices is fine but not special. If you're coming from Jackson Heights, Washington Heights, or Astoria, eat at a neighborhood restaurant before heading to Penn Station. You'll eat better, pay less, and not spend 15 minutes in a concession line during the pre-match buildup.
Jackson Heights pre-game meal options: Multiple Argentinian restaurants on 74th Street and Roosevelt Avenue β empanadas, choripΓ‘n, asado. Arrive hungry and eat on Roosevelt before the 7 train.
Washington Heights: The Dominican restaurants on 181st Street serve large, inexpensive meals. Eat before the A train.
Hydration at the Match
July 19 at MetLife will be hot. Stadium dehydration is real. Bring a sealed clear water bottle (up to 1L, factory sealed, clear) which is permitted through security. Once inside, buy water early β don't wait until you're thirsty in the 70th minute when lines are long and the sun has been on you for two hours.
Alcohol Policy
Beer and alcohol are sold through the 3rd quarter equivalent (roughly 75th minute) at MetLife events. Service cuts off before final minutes. Plan accordingly if pregame drinks at the stadium are part of your plan.
