The Upper Deck Reality at MetLife

MetLife Stadium's upper deck runs from Section 301 to Section 348. The rake is steep โ€” approximately 34 degrees โ€” which means that even Row 30 in the upper deck maintains a clear sightline over the rows in front. This is meaningfully better than many NFL stadiums where the upper deck feels impossibly distant from the action.

Best Sections by Position

Midfield (318โ€“330): The premium upper deck option. Sections 321โ€“327 are the true midfield positions and offer the clearest end-to-end view of the pitch. Expect to pay $9,000โ€“$12,000 for these sections. Worth it if you can stretch โ€” the sightline is genuinely excellent.

Club House (331โ€“340, 308โ€“317): Slightly off midfield, still excellent pitch views. Price range $7,500โ€“$9,500. The best value in the upper deck โ€” you get 80% of the midfield view at 70โ€“75% of the price.

Corner (301โ€“307, 341โ€“348): Cheapest upper deck sections, currently from ~$7,200. Corner views mean you're looking at the pitch at an angle rather than straight down the center line. Perfectly watchable โ€” the action nearest to you is in good sightlines โ€” but you lose the full tactical picture you get from midfield.

Rows: Which Are Best Within a Section?

Rows 1โ€“5: Low in the upper deck, closest to the lower bowl railing. Good close feeling but the lower bowl fans in front can partially block the standing view when the crowd rises. Best for sitting sightlines.

Rows 10โ€“20: The sweet spot. High enough to see over the standing crowd below, low enough that the pitch feels close. If given a choice within a section, rows 12โ€“18 are the recommendation.

Rows 25โ€“35: Higher elevation gives better overall pitch visibility. The distance is more apparent but the full tactical picture is clearer. If you care about seeing the full shape of the teams, higher rows are better.

Our Recommendation

For the best value in the upper deck: Section 314 or 334, Rows 12โ€“20. You get solid off-midfield views, the steep rake works in your favor, and you save $1,000โ€“$2,000 vs true midfield sections. For the best overall upper deck experience: Section 323โ€“325, any row.
