World Cup 2026 Fan Zones: NYC and New Jersey
You don't need a match ticket to experience the 2026 FIFA World Cup in New York. On April 27, 2026, Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Governor Kathy Hochul confirmed that all five boroughs will host free official fan zones — backed by $20 million in state funding. Combined with the Jersey Fan Hub and Hudson Yards screen, that gives the region seven official viewing destinations spanning the full tournament from June 11 through the Final on July 19.

The Five Official City Fan Zones
Announced April 27, 2026 and backed by $20 million in state funding, all five borough events are free to attend with advance registration. See our complete five boroughs guide for the full breakdown of each venue, dates, transit directions, and what to expect.
1. Fan Zone Queens — Jun 11–27
USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Flushing Meadows–Corona Park
The flagship group stage fan zone. The USTA complex transforms into a 10,000-capacity venue covering every group stage match from June 11 through June 27. Queens' extraordinary diversity makes this the closest thing to a true international atmosphere outside MetLife itself.
Transit: 7 train to Mets–Willets Point (~30 min from Times Square)
2. Brooklyn Fan Zone — Jun 13–Jul 19
Emily Roebling Plaza, Brooklyn Bridge Park
The longest-running fan zone in the city — 37 days from the tournament's first match through the Final. Set beneath the Brooklyn Bridge with Manhattan views across the East River, it is also the most visually spectacular venue. The only fan zone that covers the entire tournament.
Transit: A/C to High Street–Brooklyn Bridge or 2/3 to Clark Street; NYC Ferry (East River route)
3. Bronx Fan Zone — Jun 13–14
Bronx Terminal Market, 610 Exterior Street
A concentrated two-day event during the opening weekend of the group stage, with capacity for 5,000–10,000 fans. The Bronx has some of the city's deepest soccer roots and this event will reflect that.
Transit: 4/B/D to 161st Street–Yankee Stadium (~20–25 min from Midtown)
4. Staten Island Fan Zone — Jun 29–Jul 2
SIUH Community Park, 75 Richmond Terrace
Four days of watch parties during the Round of 16, at a baseball stadium upgraded with a new LED scoreboard for the World Cup. Capacity 5,000–10,000.
Transit: Staten Island Ferry from Whitehall Street (free), then Staten Island Railway or local bus. Allow 45–60 min from Midtown.
5. Manhattan — Telemundo Fan Village at Rockefeller Center — Jul 6–19
Rockefeller Center, Midtown Manhattan
The Finals Week gathering point. Rockefeller Center's public plazas host the Telemundo Fan Village for the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the Final. Open-access — no capacity limit like the ticketed borough sites.
Transit: B/D/F/M to 47–50th Street–Rockefeller Center

6. NYNJ World Cup 26 Jersey Fan Hub
Sports Illustrated Stadium, Harrison, New Jersey · Full Tournament
The official New Jersey fan destination, activated throughout the full duration of the tournament on select dates. Sports Illustrated Stadium — home of the New York Red Bulls and Gotham FC — is a soccer-first venue that gives the fan hub real football character.
Fans watch matches on the stadium floor on a 60-foot screen on the pitch itself. The Hype House in the north end of the stadium is the social hub — 20 large screen TVs, a 360-degree bar, and a built-in stage for live music and appearances.
Getting to Sports Illustrated Stadium
From Midtown Manhattan, take the PATH train from 33rd Street or Christopher Street to Harrison station. Sports Illustrated Stadium is a short walk from Harrison PATH station. Journey time is approximately 25–35 minutes from Midtown.
Address: Sports Illustrated Stadium, 600 Cape May St, Harrison, NJ 07029
7. Hudson Yards Backyard Big Screen
Backyard at Hudson Yards, West Side Manhattan · Full Tournament
The Backyard at Hudson Yards features a 30-foot outdoor Big Screen broadcasting live matches for the full tournament — free to all visitors, open seating on a first-come first-served basis.
See the full Hudson Yards World Cup guide for everything the area offers during the tournament.
The FIFA Fan Festival at Liberty State Park, originally announced as the region's centralized World Cup fan hub, was cancelled in February 2026. The State of New Jersey redirected $5 million to a statewide network of smaller fan zones, community watch parties, and street fairs administered by the NJEDA. The two confirmed FIFA-branded fan festivals in the region are Fan Zone Queens at Louis Armstrong Stadium and the Telemundo Fan Village at Rockefeller Center.
