Why This Matters More Than You Think

The Ticketmaster app generates QR codes that rotate every 30 seconds using an internet connection — if your phone loses signal at the gate, the rotating QR code cannot refresh, and your ticket appears invalid. The solution: save your ticket to Apple Wallet or Google Pay BEFORE you leave home. These work without internet.
For iPhone: Save to Apple Wallet
Open the Ticketmaster app → tap "My Events" → find the World Cup Final → tap "Add to Apple Wallet." A pass appears in your Wallet app. Test it: put your phone in airplane mode and open Apple Wallet. The QR code should display. If it does, you're set. If it doesn't, you have a problem to solve before Sunday.
For Android: Save to Google Pay
Open the Ticketmaster app → My Events → World Cup Final → "Add to Google Wallet." Follow the prompts. Google Wallet passes display offline exactly as Apple Wallet does. Test in airplane mode before Sunday.
Backup Options
Take a screenshot of your ticket QR code as a backup. Screenshots don't rotate like the live app codes, which means stadium gates may not accept them as primary — but they're useful if customer service needs to verify your purchase. The safest combination: screenshot + Wallet pass + Ticketmaster app account login as three layers of access.
If You Have Multiple Tickets
Transfer companion tickets to the other person's Ticketmaster account before the event — do not try to show two tickets on one phone at the gate. Ticketmaster's "Transfer Tickets" function is in My Events → the specific event → "Transfer." The recipient needs a Ticketmaster account to accept.
