Take the $20 official shuttle from Port Authority, Grand Central, or Columbus Circle. NJ Transit from Penn Station ($98 round-trip) is the alternative. Build in buffer — security at shuttle pickup adds time.
2 hours before kick-off — Gates open
Get in early. Concession lines are short. Team warm-ups are worth seeing. The atmosphere builds fast once fans are inside.
90 minutes before — Get food now
Last comfortable window before queues double at concessions.
Kick-off — 5:00 PM ET
Panama vs England at MetLife Stadium. 82,500 seats. One of the great sporting venues on earth at full World Cup capacity.
After the final whistle — Stay 10–15 minutes
Let the first crush pass before heading to exits. Every minute you wait cuts queue time in half.
Transit home
NJ Transit shuttles to Secaucus run continuously post-match. Secaucus to Penn Station is 15 minutes. Back in Manhattan within 90 minutes of the final whistle if you stay calm.
