Step 1 — Go to regnyctix.com on May 25 at 10am
The only entry point is regnyctix.com. There is no other official entry method — no app, no phone number, no in-person location. The site opens at exactly 10:00 a.m. ET on Monday May 25. Entries before that time are not accepted. Bookmark the URL now and set a phone alarm for 9:55am on Monday.
Step 2 — Confirm Your NYC Residency
You must be a New York City resident aged 15 or older. Eligibility is verified — do not attempt to enter if you live outside the five boroughs. You will need to provide your NYC address as part of the entry process. The program is explicitly designed for residents who live in the city, not visitors or out-of-state fans.
Step 3 — Enter Once Per Day
The lottery accepts one entry per person per day, with a daily cap of 50,000 total entries across all participants. The window is open for six days: May 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30. That means you can submit up to six entries total by entering once each day. Come back each morning. Each additional entry improves your odds.
Set a daily reminder for each morning between May 25 and May 30. The entry takes under two minutes — don't miss a day.
Step 4 — Wait for June 3
Winners are selected randomly and notified by email on Wednesday June 3. Check your inbox — and your spam folder — on that date. If you win, you will receive instructions for purchasing your tickets at $50 each (up to two). Payment will be processed through the lottery portal.
If You Win — What Happens Next
Winning tickets are nontransferable and distributed in person on match day. When you arrive at the designated bus boarding location in your borough, you present your ID, receive your physical ticket, and board the free round-trip bus to MetLife Stadium. There is no way to receive your ticket in advance or transfer it to another person. This design is intentional — it prevents scalping entirely.
The specific bus boarding locations per borough will be confirmed by the city closer to match dates. Watch regnyctix.com and the Mayor's Office communications for updates.
Which Matches Are Available
The 1,000 tickets are split across seven MetLife matches: five group stage fixtures and two knockout round games (Round of 32 and Round of 16). Each match receives approximately 150 tickets. You indicate your preferred match when entering — though allocation is subject to availability and the lottery process. The July 19 World Cup Final is not part of the program.
If You Don't Win
With up to 50,000 daily entries and only 1,000 total tickets, the odds are competitive. If you don't win, the best remaining options are FIFA's official last-minute sales and the Ticketmaster resale market. All five borough fan zones are free and require no ticket — and the community neighborhood watching experience in Jackson Heights, Bay Ridge, Harlem, and Astoria rivals the stadium for atmosphere.
