The World Cup Final kicks off at 3pm Eastern on Sunday, July 19. This is not a normal Sunday afternoon in New York. Every soccer bar in the city will be at or beyond capacity. The difference between a great Final-watching experience and standing on the sidewalk outside a full bar is arrival time.
Rule 1: Arrive by 1:30pm
A 3pm kickoff means most serious fans arrive by 1:30–2pm. If you walk in at 2:45, you will not find a seat at any quality soccer bar in Manhattan or Brooklyn. Arrive early, order food, and claim your space.
Top Soccer Bars for the Final
Nevada Smith's — 74 3rd Ave, East Village. NYC's flagship soccer bar. Packed from noon. Multiple screens, international crowd, loud. Smithfield Hall — 138 W 25th St, Chelsea. Large capacity, dedicated soccer venue, knowledgeable crowd. Football Factory at Legends — 6 W 33rd St, Midtown. Right above Penn Station if you need post-game transit. Blarney Clansman — Midtown. More relaxed than Nevada Smith's.
Neighborhood Watch Parties
Depending on which two teams reach the Final, certain NYC neighborhoods will have their own street-level atmosphere. Jackson Heights (Queens) for any Latin American finalist. Bay Ridge (Brooklyn) for European teams. Koreatown (Manhattan) if a Korean-adjacent team is involved. These neighborhoods don't require a bar booking — just be there.
