Hudson Yards World Cup 2026: Big Screen, FIFA Stores, SUMMIT, Edge & More
Published 2026-06-15 Β· WorldCup.NYC Editorial
Hudson Yards, Manhattan's newest mega-development on the Far West Side, has emerged as one of the most concentrated World Cup destinations in the city during the 2026 tournament. Between an outdoor Big Screen showing every match, two official FIFA merchandise stores, and landmark observation experiences at SUMMIT One Vanderbilt and Edge NYC, you can spend a full World Cup day here without leaving the complex.
30-Foot Outdoor Big Screen β Free Match Screenings
Hudson Yards is broadcasting World Cup matches on a free 30-foot outdoor Big Screen in the Public Square & Gardens throughout the tournament. This is one of the larger dedicated outdoor screens in the city β big enough to deliver a genuine stadium-feel viewing experience. The public square is open, so there's no capacity limit or ticketing required. Arrive early for popular matches, particularly USA games.
Two Official FIFA Merchandise Stores
Hudson Yards hosts two of the official FIFA World Cup 2026 merchandise locations:
- The Shops at Hudson Yards, Level 3 β Official FIFA World Cup 2026 store with full tournament merchandise: jerseys, hats, scarves, accessories, and collectibles
- Public Square & Gardens β A second dedicated FIFA merchandise pop-up at the outdoor plaza level
Fly Your Flag at Vessel
The iconic Vessel at Hudson Yards β Thomas Heatherwick's 16-story honeycomb structure β is hosting a Fly Your Flag activation during the tournament, giving fans of all 48 nations a place to represent their country at one of NYC's most photographed landmarks. Watch for additional World Cup programming and giveaways at Vessel throughout the group stage.
Spot the Bag β Win Final Tickets
Hudson Yards is running a scavenger hunt called Spot the Bag during the tournament. Fans who spot and photograph a specific bag at Hudson Yards are entered for a chance to win tickets to the World Cup Final watch party at Edge NYC. Check Hudson Yards' official channels for the specific activation details.
SUMMIT One Vanderbilt
Just east of Hudson Yards at 45 East 42nd Street, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is the most immersive sky-high experience in NYC β 93 floors of mirrored rooms, shifting light installations, glass terraces, and the Ascent glass elevator that lifts you above the summit. For World Cup visitors, the terrace views take in both the Manhattan skyline and a clear sightline toward New Jersey on good days. Book sunset slots in advance β they're in demand. See our full SUMMIT & Edge guide.
Edge NYC β New Immersive Experience Opens June 11
Edge NYC at 30 Hudson Yards opened a new permanent Immersive NYC Skyline Experience on June 11, the first day of the tournament. At 1,100 feet, it's the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, with a glass floor extending over the street below. Edge also has Skyline Suite, the world's highest outdoor dining experience, and the City Climb outdoor ascent for the especially adventurous.
Getting to Hudson Yards
Take the 7 train to Hudson Yards (the westernmost station on the line). The complex is also a short walk from the A/C/E at 34th StβPenn Station via the 34th Street corridor. For match-day crowds traveling to MetLife, note that Hudson Yards is not a World Cup shuttle hub β use Port Authority, Grand Central, or Penn Station for MetLife transport.
