Best MetLife Stadium Seats by Budget — 2026 World Cup

MetLife Stadium holds 82,500 for the World Cup, and the price difference between sections is enormous — the same match might cost $200 in the upper deck and $2,000 on the sideline. Here is what you actually get at each price tier, which sections are worth it, and which you should avoid.

Under $300 — Upper Deck (300-Level)

MetLife's 300-level upper deck runs the full circumference of the stadium. The corner sections (330s, 340s, 350s, 310s, 320s) are the lowest-demand seats and tend to have the best availability at the lowest prices. What you get: a full stadium atmosphere, the ability to see the entire field (actually a tactical advantage over sideline seats where you lose the far side of the pitch), and access to every part of the venue. What you give up: detail on individual players. For a group stage match, this is a perfectly reasonable way to experience the World Cup live. For the Final, upper deck corners might be the only tickets under $1,000.

Under $500 — Lower Sideline Upper (200-Level)

The 200-level at MetLife sits directly above the 100-level boxes and below the upper deck — roughly the third tier. Sideline sections in the 210–250 range at the 30-to-midfield mark are the best seats in this price tier: you're at a reasonable height, the sightlines to both ends of the field are strong, and you're close enough to read player numbers without binoculars. This is the tier where most knowledgeable buyers who aren't paying for premium land. For group stage matches with lower demand (Norway vs Senegal, Ecuador vs Germany), $300–400 buys you a solid lower sideline seat.

Under $1,000 — Lower Sideline Prime (100-Level)

The 100-level is where the money is, and the best seats are in sections 110–140 at the 20-to-40-yard line on either side. These are the seats that appear on broadcast — close enough to see facial expressions, directly at pitch level, with the game happening in front of you rather than below you. For high-demand matches (Brazil vs Morocco, France vs Senegal), these sections price accordingly: expect $500–800 for group stage, $800–1,500+ for knockout rounds.

Club Level ($1,000+) — MetLife Club and 300-Club

MetLife's club-level seating includes premium food service at your seat, exclusive club lounge access with full bar service, and wider seats with more legroom. The view from the club level is excellent — you're at the right height to see the full field without the height disadvantage of the upper deck. Club level pricing reflects the premium experience: expect $1,000–3,000+ for group stage matches and substantially more for knockout rounds. See the full club level guide.

The Final — July 19

The World Cup Final is a different market. Face-value tickets are gone. The resale floor for any section is $3,000+, with prime lower sideline at $10,000–20,000. If budget is the primary constraint, the Final is best watched at the Central Park watch party (free, 50,000 people, three LED screens) or at a fan zone or bar. If you're committed to attending in person regardless of price, the 300-level corners will be the most affordable section at the Final — and you'll still be in the building for the most significant match in the world this year.

Best Value Match: Norway vs Senegal, June 22

Among the eight MetLife matches, Norway vs Senegal on June 22 consistently shows the lowest demand relative to supply. Both fanbases are present in New York but in smaller numbers than Brazil, France, England, or Germany supporters. This is the match where $200–250 buys a reasonable lower-level seat that would cost $600+ for Brazil vs Morocco. If your goal is to attend a World Cup match live at MetLife for the lowest possible cost, June 22 is the answer.
