Queens Soccer Sundays 2026
Every Sunday of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Flushing Meadows Corona Park becomes a free outdoor fan zone. Queens Soccer Sundays — held at the New York Hall of Science — is the city's most community-driven watch series, backed by the NYC Mayor's Office, the Queens Borough President, and NYC Tourism & Conventions. No tickets, no cover. Just a giant screen, international food, and Queens being Queens.

What to Expect
The event centers on a large outdoor screen showing Sunday World Cup matches live. The NY Hall of Science's outdoor plaza and surrounding grounds give it room to breathe — this isn't a cramped bar situation. International food vendors will be on-site, reflecting the diversity of Corona and surrounding neighborhoods. Expect a crowd that genuinely represents the nations playing: if Colombia is on at 3pm on a Sunday, this is where their Queens community shows up.
Entertainment and live performances are scheduled throughout the run — the event is designed as a full afternoon out, not just a screen in a parking lot.
Sunday Match Schedule
The World Cup runs June 11 through July 19, with group stage Sunday matches from June 14 through June 29, followed by knockout rounds on Sundays in July. Every Sunday has at least one match — most have two or three. Check the full match schedule to plan which Sundays matter most for your team.
Getting There
The NY Hall of Science is in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, directly accessible from the 7 train to Mets-Willets Point (a few minutes' walk into the park). From Jackson Heights, the 7 takes about 10 minutes. From Flushing, about 5 minutes in the other direction. From Manhattan, plan for 30–40 minutes on the 7 from Times Square.
There is parking in Flushing Meadows on weekends, but on match days with the USTA fan zone also running nearby, the 7 train is faster and less stressful.
The Neighborhood
The NY Hall of Science sits at the heart of one of the most Latin American neighborhoods in New York City. Corona has a large Mexican and Central American community, with Ecuadorian and Colombian residents nearby in Jackson Heights. After the match, walk to Roosevelt Avenue — 10 minutes — for some of the best South American food in the city. The Lemon Ice King of Corona is 5 minutes from the park and worth the detour regardless.

Also on Saturdays: Queens Night Market
The NY Hall of Science also hosts the Queens Night Market every Saturday throughout the tournament (June 13–July 18), one of the most celebrated outdoor food markets in the country with 80+ international vendors. They'll be showing matches too. A Saturday–Sunday Queens weekend — Night Market one evening, Soccer Sundays the next — is one of the best World Cup experiences available anywhere in NYC.
