Planning Your Queens World Cup Weekend
The best value weekend in NYC during the World Cup is a SaturdayβSunday in Corona/Flushing: Saturday at the Queens Night Market for international food and a match, Sunday at Soccer Sundays at the Hall of Science. Add dinner in Jackson Heights, and you've spent almost nothing for a full-day experience. The 7 train connects all of it.
For the Final on July 19, Queens has two free outdoor watch parties β the Botanical Garden in Flushing and MoMA PS1 in Long Island City. Both are free. Both will be packed. The Botanical Garden is more community-rooted; MoMA PS1 skews slightly more LIC arts crowd. Pick based on your vibe.
